Cedar Eye Care, formerly known as Dr. Katherine Chin, Optometrist, is a trusted independent optometry clinic located at the Cedar Heights Plaza on Markham Road in Scarborough. Under the same expert leadership and at the same well-loved location for over twenty years, the clinic has simply adopted a new name to reflect its growing team and breadth of care. Dr. Katherine Chin and her associates take the time to understand each patient's complete eye health history, lifestyle, and vision goals — providing personalized, relationship-based care that extends well beyond a standard prescription update. The clinic is welcoming to new patients and is committed to ensuring every individual feels seen, heard, and thoroughly cared for. Services include comprehensive eye exams, contact lens exams and fittings, dry eye assessment and treatment, eye disease diagnosis and management (including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease), cataract surgery co-management, LASIK and refractive surgery consultations, and emergency eye care. The optical boutique carries a curated selection of designer frames from brands including Evatik, Michael Kors, OGI, Ray-Ban, and Zac Posen. Most major insurance plans are accepted.
