East End Community Health Centre
About
East End Community Health Centre (EECHC) has been a cornerstone of primary healthcare in south-east central Toronto for decades, serving individuals and families who may face barriers to accessing conventional healthcare due to language, culture, poverty, or lack of insurance. Located at 1619 Queen Street East in Leslieville, the centre takes a whole-person approach — understanding that health is shaped not just by biology but by income, education, housing, and relationships. EECHC offers an inter-disciplinary suite of services including primary care, health promotion programs, chronic disease management, mental health support, and social services. Physicians and nurse practitioners at the centre see registered clients on an appointment basis, with extended evening and Saturday hours to serve working families and shift workers. After-hours access is available by phone for urgent medical needs. The centre proudly extends its reach to marginalized and equity-seeking populations, providing care to those without OHIP coverage and offering programming in multiple languages.
