Evolution Therapies
About
The right fit between client and therapist changes everything, and Evolution Therapies has built its whole practice around that idea. From a free 15-minute consultation to a Discovery Call with the care team, the Scarborough clinic at 2965 Kingston Road (Unit 2-B, second floor) starts by matching every client with the registered psychotherapist, psychologist, social worker, or clinical hypnotherapist best suited to their needs, and will help clients switch therapists if the fit is not right. Founded by Registered Psychotherapist Valeria Smith, the team serves children, teens, adults, couples, and families in person and virtually across Ontario, with a Farsi-speaking grief counsellor on the team. Care is grounded in evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Somatic Experiencing, Compassion-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and clinical hypnotherapy. Specialty areas include ADHD and psychological assessments, child and teen therapy, trauma and PTSD, OCD, grief and loss, addiction, anger management, therapy for first responders, military members, and veterans, support for newcomers and refugees, and LGBTQ+ affirming care. Appointments run seven days a week, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM by appointment, with daytime, evening, and weekend slots. No referral is needed. Sessions are $50 to $200 with a sliding scale and reduced-fee options, most major insurance plans are accepted with direct billing available, and payment can be made by e-transfer, Visa, or MasterCard.
