New Pathways Therapy Centre
About
Founded by Rachael Frankford in the heart of The Annex at 720 Spadina Avenue, New Pathways Therapy Centre was built around a conviction that transformative mental health care must engage the body as much as the mind. The clinic's two core modalities — somatic psychotherapy and neurofeedback therapy — reflect this philosophy directly. Where conventional talk therapy focuses primarily on cognitive processing, New Pathways works at the level of the nervous system, helping clients develop the physical awareness and neurological regulation that makes lasting change possible. Neurofeedback at New Pathways is a gentle, non-invasive form of brain training that harnesses neuroplasticity to reduce anxiety, improve mood regulation, and help the nervous system recover from the impact of chronic stress and trauma. Somatic psychotherapy guides clients in attending to the body's physical responses to emotional experience — developing a quality of self-awareness that carries into daily life long after the session ends. EMDR is available for trauma processing, while spiritual integration therapy supports clients navigating existential questions or non-ordinary states of consciousness. Holistic nutrition counselling completes a genuinely whole-person offering. The Annex clinic is wheelchair accessible and served directly by the Spadina subway station. Both in-person and online therapy options are available for clients across Ontario. New patient inquiries are responded to within 24 hours, with an intake process designed to match each client to the therapist best suited to their needs. For individuals who have not found sufficient relief through conventional therapy, New Pathways offers a different and often more deeply effective path.
