Nova Counseling Centre is one of Ontario's most comprehensively resourced mental health practices, with over 45 therapists available across multiple Ontario locations and a funding program list that goes far beyond what most private clinics can offer. The scale and depth of the roster means new clients are typically accepted quickly and matched carefully with a practitioner whose specialization and interpersonal style fit their unique needs, reducing the wait-and-hope dynamic common at smaller practices. Therapy at Nova is covered for WSIB clients, Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans Affairs Canada beneficiaries, RCMP personnel, IFHP-eligible refugee claimants, and Indigenous clients through the NIHB program — in addition to most private extended health insurance plans. Clinical approaches include CBT, DBT, EFT, and trauma-informed care, with expertise across anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, eating disorders, substance use, grief, chronic pain, domestic abuse, court-ordered counselling, and MVA recovery support. Both in-person and virtual sessions are available.
