About

As Toronto's Lead Agency for infant, children, and youth mental health since 2015, Strides Toronto occupies a unique and vital position in the city's mental health landscape. The organization's main office at Consilium Place near Scarborough Town Centre serves as the administrative and clinical hub for a wide range of programs supporting children, young people, and families across Toronto's east end. For families navigating the often fragmented mental health system, Strides Toronto provides a single point of access to services that span from infant mental health to youth substance use support. The breadth of programming at Strides Toronto is remarkable. The What's Up Walk-In Clinic offers immediate, single-session counselling for children, youth, and families without an appointment, providing crucial access to mental health support when waiting weeks for a scheduled appointment is not an option. Autism and developmental services include intervention programs tailored to children on the spectrum, while youth programming encompasses substance use, physical and sexual health, education, employment, and housing support through Youth Wellness Hubs. The organization also operates a virtual counselling service available across Ontario, extending its reach beyond its physical locations. Community resources, a Black Excellence Community Library, and partnerships with affiliated agencies round out a comprehensive approach to family mental health. Strides Toronto's main office is located at 100 Consilium Place, Suite 600, and is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, closed Sundays. The organization can be reached at (416) 438-3697 or via email at contactus@stridestoronto.ca. For families in Scarborough Town Centre and the broader east end community, Strides Toronto provides a comprehensive, accessible mental health resource for children and youth at every stage of development.
