IWHC Toronto
About
IWHC Toronto — formerly the Immigrant Women's Health Centre — is a pioneering sexual health clinic located at 489 College Street in downtown Toronto. Serving the city since the 1980s, IWHC is designed to provide low-barrier reproductive and sexual health care to immigrant, refugee, and marginalized clients, though all women and people with uteruses are welcome. No OHIP card is required for most services, and the clinic operates with a deep commitment to privacy, dignity, and non-judgment. IWHC Toronto offers same-day appointments four days per week for a broad range of clinical services including STI testing, treatment, and counselling for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV, hepatitis, and HPV; birth control prescriptions and counselling; low-cost sales of contraceptives including Plan B; IUD and implant insertions and removals; and UTI testing and treatment. HPV DNA testing is fully covered for clients with a valid health card. Clients booking IUD or implant procedures are guided through a thorough intake process to ensure they feel informed and supported.
