Women's Health in Women's Hands
About
Women's Health in Women's Hands (WHIWH) is a unique and trailblazing community health centre in Toronto — the only one of its kind in North America — dedicated to the health and well-being of racialized women, trans, and non-binary people. Founded on principles of feminist, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive care, WHIWH serves Black, Indigenous, South Asian, East Asian, Caribbean, Latin American, and other racialized communities with a full spectrum of health services designed to be culturally safe, trauma-informed, and intersectional. Clients are met as whole people, with attention paid to the social, historical, and structural factors that shape their health experiences. Services at WHIWH include primary care, reproductive health, mental health counselling, group therapy, health promotion programs, and a range of community support services. The centre employs multilingual staff and practitioners with deep cultural competency across the communities it serves, and it actively works to dismantle the systemic barriers that racialized women face in mainstream healthcare settings. Whether you are seeking a trusted primary care provider, support for mental health challenges, or access to reproductive and sexual health services, WHIWH offers a safe, affirming, and empowering environment for your care.
